I grew up watching my parents create; my Father in metal and wood, and my Mother in the garden, pencil, cooking, & other craft mediums. It was a constant inspiration that grew into a passion for me. That passion really took root at the age of 13 when I began working in my Father’s jewelry store. What began with just helping out around the shop, quickly grew into taking on more responsibility to include marketing and the social media presence of the company.

I decided on my career path at the age of 15, when I designed my very first piece of jewelry for my Mother’s birthday. My Father, as a metal smith himself, guided me through the process from start to finish; drawing the piece to scale, carving the wax, fabricating and putting the pieces together, and finally setting the stones.

I apprenticed under him for 10 years learning countless skills; from basic jewelry repair, wax carving to more advanced hand fabrication. In the fall of 2008, I broadened my skillset by attending the New Approach School for Jewelers Graduate Bench Jewelers program, where I learned advanced stone setting techniques, platinum hand fabrication and the basics of hand engraving from Jason Marchiafava.

In 2012 I became a Certified Bench Jeweler through Jewelers of America and then in early 2016 I finished my Diamond Diploma (DGA) from the Gemmological Association of Great Britain. 

Also in 2016, I moved to Seattle, WA to begin working for Green Lake Jewelry Works and I was

able to expand my craft even more by learning from my truly amazing colleagues to

include bead setting, French setting, Pavé setting, hand made filigree and more hand engraving
